There are several irc clients you can use to access the chat like Chatzilla, mIRC, andchat for your Android phone, etc.

Gophering
While Yuletide chat has hippos, Not Prime Time has gophers. Gophers are people in the chat who volunteer to act as a go-between for people so they can keep their anonymity until reveals. They are noted by the word Gopher in front of the username they choose in chat.
