Fandoms Promotion Post

Nominations are just around the corner (in April, but it takes time to review canons) and if you'd like to promote your fandoms in order to entice fellow participants to offer/request, this is the place to do it.

Please keep discussions of each fandom in separate comments with the subject of it as that fandom. Please also put in the subject warning for common triggers (in the canon and especially anything that is in your comment).

Our guidelines for a medium sized fandom is a) a fandom that isn't listed on the recent Yuletide nomination list (or Signup Summary) and b) isn't a fandom with over 20,000 fics available (megafandom list on LJ and on DW). RPF is allowed within Not Prime Time and is the only exception to the requirement of "a fandom that isn’t listed on the current Yuletide nominations list" though we ask that participants keep to the spirit of the exchange and do not nominate/request very rare RPF. It is still held to the megafandoms requirement, however.

Final Fantasy XII

This always feels like one of the more neglected FFs, especially fic-wise, but it is definitely one of my favorites. There just feels like there's so much possibility for character and world exploration. In terms of the main characters, I'm particularly interested in Penelo, but I love Basch and Balthier also.

Anyone want to go Yizmat hunting with me? :)

It has some really awesome character dynamics. I love Fran and her motivations for a new life, Balthier with his charm and humour, Van with the way he grew in the series, Ashe with her determination.


... I never beat Yizmat though....

Aww. Yizmat is a fun fight :)

And yeah, the I love the dynamics and the fact that there's actual character *growth* within the game.
