Fandoms Promotion Post

Nominations are just around the corner (in April, but it takes time to review canons) and if you'd like to promote your fandoms in order to entice fellow participants to offer/request, this is the place to do it.

Please keep discussions of each fandom in separate comments with the subject of it as that fandom. Please also put in the subject warning for common triggers (in the canon and especially anything that is in your comment).

Our guidelines for a medium sized fandom is a) a fandom that isn't listed on the recent Yuletide nomination list (or Signup Summary) and b) isn't a fandom with over 20,000 fics available (megafandom list on LJ and on DW). RPF is allowed within Not Prime Time and is the only exception to the requirement of "a fandom that isn’t listed on the current Yuletide nominations list" though we ask that participants keep to the spirit of the exchange and do not nominate/request very rare RPF. It is still held to the megafandoms requirement, however.

Sherlock Holmes - Arthur Conan Doyle

This one was ruled YT-ineligible when the RDJ movie and Sherlock came out, possibly because the Sherlock fandom exploded so quickly. But the original stories were on the cusp every year even before that, and I always had my fingers crossed for them, although I knew one day them would go. :(

I need more original!canon Holmes/Watson; it is not even funny. I like other incarnations of them, too, but the original canon was what I fell in love with first, and it's definitely got its own distinct atmosphere that I love.
